Our Campus Story: Part 4
Our Campus Story is a new series highlighting the journey and success of our students as they work to create positive change on campus. Come back each week to read more about what drives our mission and the achievements of the 2017-18 Academic year.
As our campus team continues it's kickoffs on campus, our focus shifts to our amazing students on the East Coast. In the past few weeks, Jacklyn, Rachel, and Juliana have all had some amazing experiences during their first campus visits.
Rachel's first visits included a stop at Baruch College, where one of her incredible students conducted an interfaith presentation around Israel. Josue was a previous participant of an interfaith trip to Israel, and shared his experiences with InterVarsity, a christian fellowship on campus. In his own words, the presentation was a great opportunity both for sharing his story and self-reflection.
"I talked a lot about my struggles and growth in my relationship with God and Israel played a big part in my story. I brought it up for a significant amount of time, and thankfully people actually came up to me afterwards to discuss possibilities of going to Israel too, it was awesome"
Juliana traveled to Rutgers University for her first campus visit as a campus coordinator. After meeting with them, she was inspired by their dedication and passion for Relationship Building. Looking forward, Juliana can't wait to be working more in depth with these amazing students!
Jacklyn's visits in the New England area took her to the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they conducted their first Leadership Dinner of the school year. Students from different communities and organizations on campus came together to learn about Israel and different opportunities to get involved and visit. The event was incredibly successful, and was a great way to kickoff outreach for the semester!
Stay tuned next week for another edition of Our Campus Story!
