The david project staff
New York City & Vanderbilt Campus Coordinator
A proud “cheesehead”, Rachel was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Rachel graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in Hebrew, Political Science, and International Studies. After graduation, she spent a year volunteering in Tel Aviv, Be’er Sheva, and Haifa with the program ‘Otzma.' In 2009, Rachel immigrated to Israel and spent nearly two years serving in the Foreign Relations Branch of the IDF Ground Forces as a liaison to high-ranking foreign officials visiting the IDF. After her release from the army, Rachel went on to work in the English-Speaking Division of The Israel Experience Ltd. as a field coordinator for Taglit-Birthright Israel trips.
Rachel most recently spent two years in Melbourne, Australia as the National Shlicha for the Australasian Union of Jewish Students. During her time in Australia, Rachel enjoyed driving on the left side of the road, eating Kangaroo burgers and Vegemite, and proving once and for all that Melbourne is indeed the superior city. Rachel is thrilled to be joining The David Project team!
