This year at the Relationship Building Institute, The David Project will be holding the first-ever meeting of our brand new national student board! Comprised of students from across the country, the board will work to enhance our work on campus and continue building our network of passionate student leaders. Here’s some of what the board members are most excited about:
“I’m ecstatic to be a part of the inaugural David Project Student Board. I think this will be a really amazing opportunity for students that have experience with relational advocacy on their own campuses to gain different perspectives and insights on what they can be doing differently or better. I’m also extremely excited to discuss networking and outreach with the other National Student Board members. The David Project Student Board has a ton of potential and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish this coming year!”
Ben Kern, Rutgers University, Class of 2018
"I am looking forward to serving on the first ever David Project Student Board because I think it is a great opportunity to unify interns across the country, share ideas and inspiration, and increase student involvement in the David Project organization.”
Ben Roumimper, University of California, Davis, Class of 2017
"I can’t wait to bring schools across the country closer together and make connections with students in different campuses! I feel like there are many things we can learn from each other while working together and making lifelong friendships.”
Ashley Navi, University of California, San Diego, Class of 2018
"I am most excited about collaborating with different campuses and student leaders. I am looking forward to thoughtful and insightful discussion which I think can be more important than putting together events. I think joining the David Project Student Board will hopefully make us not only better campus leaders but also better people.”
Paola Otero, Trinity College, Class of 2018
"One of the things I am most looking forward to this year as a member of the student board is getting to learn from and engage with an amazing group of student leaders from across the country. Even though we all come from different campuses and a wide array of backgrounds, we all share a common love and passion for Israel. I cannot wait to start this incredible journey with The David Project and am so excited for this upcoming year!”
Brian Burke, University of Pittsburg, Class of 2019
"I'm most excited to be able to help create a positive experience for other students participating in this program across the country. This opportunity has allowed me to form friendships and meet people that I never could have imagined while in Israel. Now I want to make sure that I do my part to keep it going for the David Project family.”
Ray Clark, University of Pennsylvania, Class of 2017
"I hope to help other students and campuses across the nation in expanding upon the same lasting relationships we built throughout this past year. I am very excited to be working with such a diverse group of students in advocating for a movement that has such a profound impact on pro-Israel campus dialogue across the country."
Ryan Kun, University of Cincinnati, Class of 2018
"I feel as students we can learn a lot from each others experiences and be more effective as leaders. As a member of the board, I would love to facilitate stronger relationships between various schools. I believe having this board will help foster a sense of unity."
Brianna Dines, Michigan State University, Class of 2017
"I am most excited for all the people I am going to meet and hear their ideas on how establish a foundation for the board for years to come. I am looking forward to working with all the interns not only from my region but from around the country as well.”
Corey Jaquez, University of Miami, Class of 2017
"I am so excited to be coming on board as a Student Board member for this upcoming school year. I love the dialogue, the challenging, sometimes uncomfortable but very constructive dialogue that we experience on IU, and I look forward to continuing to facilitate growth through is as a member of this board. I think that this is a great opportunity to build national community and connections throughout all of the members of the David Project, so if you need anything do not be afraid to reach out to any of us, because we are here for you. "
Octavio Edgington, Vanderbilt University, Class of 2017
