From the ICC Conference to The Relationship Building Institute: Creating Change for Israel on Campus

If you haven’t had a chance to hear about our amazing and fun experiences in Portland with the ICC at their 2016 Field Professionals’ Retreat, then you must have missed Maddi and Jacklyn’s video! Spending three days with our organizational partners from across the Israel on campus world, it was great to see so many new and familiar faces. One great advantage was being in the same room as the other campus managers and directors.

Since January, our team has been working on creating our biggest and best yet Relationship Building Institute, our summer conference in Boston. We are excited to bring the experience that we had in Portland to our students in Boston, and on to campus this fall. Next month, students from campuses across the country will come together with their Hillel professionals to engage with us in the most effective methods of Relational Advocacy.

A big theme of the ICC retreat was collaboration and integration. At our summer conference, we are excited to exemplify this. Students will have the opportunity to hear from our friends and partners at ICC, Hasbara, Hillel International, ADL, StandWithUS, CAMERA, Jerusalem U, Arava Institute, and Students Supporting Israel.

As I prepare for the fourth edition of our summer conference that I have had the pleasure to staff at The David Project, I look forward to meeting the 200 students and campus professionals who will be working to implement change on their campus through relationship building and nuanced conversation.
