During The David Project's Relationship Building Institute in Boston, Yael Kempe performed a song she recently wrote, entitled "Believe in Peace." Yael is a student at UC San Diego. She is majoring in Communications with a minor in Business. She will be the VP of Outreach for the Tritons For Israel this upcoming year.

"My feelings were mixed when I heard the news that my cousin, Guy Harel and the IDF, would be sent to Gaza. As a student at UC San Deigo living in America, I felt helpless that there was nothing I could do about the conflict. Not knowing what the outcomes would be, I wanted to express my feelings on the horrible tragedies that have occurred in the conflict." --Yael

Lyrics:
Today I gave my blood away, And miles and miles you walk across the land and sea, And smiles and smiles you want to take away from me But you don’t know my name, And I don’t need the fame, Cause you won’t like me any Anyway I believe in a thing, I believe anything I believe in a thing called peace I believe in a thing, I believe anything I believe in a thing called peace Cause I’ll live where I want to, And I won’t go if I have to, Cause I’ll live where I want to, And I won’t go if I have to But you don’t know my name, And I don’t need the fame, Cause you won’t like me any Anyway I believe in a thing, I believe anything I believe in a thing called peace And you took my blood away, And you gave those smiles away. © Yael Kempe
