With David Bernstein, Executive Director of The David Project and Yona Shem Tov, Executive Director, Encounter

Grand Hyatt Hotel, Washington, DC
The discourse on Israel and the conflict is all too often posited in terms of black and white, right and wrong . For many Israel advocates the well-spring and strength of their support for Israel must be one that is reflective of nuance and carefully thought out positions. This may include an overriding belief in the overall justness of Israel’s cause, together with questions or reservations about specific policies or positions. This panel will discuss: How can advocates best communicate nuanced positions, whether within the Jewish community or beyond our communal borders, in a way that is authentic to themselves and to others? How can advocates transform the discourse on Israel to be more inclusive and nuanced while still promoting the greater good of Israel and the Jewish people?
